Victus is an exciting young stallion with a proven lineage of top success in Dressage sport. Lifetime Approved through BWP as a three-year-old, Victus immediately showed judges his fantastic character, three excellent gaits, ideal conformation, and desirable refinement. At just 4 years old, Victus is licensed Oldenburg, Westfalen, SBS, American Hanoverian Society, and is an affiliate stallion with KWPN. He will start his sport career this winter in Wellington under the guidance of Patti Becker.
Victus’ sire, Blue Hors Farrell (son of the great Furstenball) has had a remarkable career as a breeding stallion, siring 18 Licensed or Approved Sons, all while being developed towards International levels of FEI competition, where he was successfully competed through Intermediate I with scores into the mid 70’s.
Victus’ damsire, Glock’s Zonik has also proven himself to be a top producer, siring 37 licensed or approved sons all while being competed Internationally through the Grand Prix under riders Edward Gal & Hans Peter Minderhoud with scores into the 80’s at Championships such as the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, London Olympia, Amsterdam & Rotterdam. His son, Zonik Plus is currently ranked #1 in the world for FEI dressage rankings with Justin Verboomen.

The damline of Victus vd Horne has produced several Elite dressage foals and the German approved stallion Indian Summer born as “Sorento vd Horne”. Victus van de Horne is a youthful modern stallion that is expected to pass on his attitude, type and big movements.
Type: Victus vd Horne is a sporty, modern young stallion. He has a lot of expression and stallion appearance. The neck is well shaped and has good length and musculature. The shoulder position is very good. He has a good length in the body.
Legs: The legs are dry and has enough bone. The legs are correct and are quite long. The hooves are well developed.
Movements: The walk is very clear in rithm, with good overtrack and very good usage of the shoulder. In trot he has a nice self-carriage. He trots well through the body and shows ability go go big and small and. He has the talent to collect. On hard surface het he walks correctly and with good overtrack and also in trot on hard surface he has a strong trotwith more than enough suspension. In freedom, his canter is quite big and he could show a little bit more self carriage, although he was very youthful with long legs and not yet 3 years old at the moment of the test. He showed clear changes which were easily executed.
Comments from the 2025 Keuring season:
Westfalen: Very elegant young stallion. Good type, size and frame correct. Walk, trot, and canter with stride and elasticity. Trot and canter uphill, good swing and balance.
SBS: Nothing below 9s across the board, including a 9.5 for his type and for his walk. Overall score for conformation and movement is 55/60, and he was granted a 9 in sport, which can be translated as "A's". Victus therefore obtained his provisional approval with SBS as a Premium stallion with flying colours, and he is the top scoring stallion of the tour. The judge was very impressed with him and the comments were that he is well built and very nicely proportioned. She had only good things to say about him and we are excited to see where his competition career will take him to.
